Battery Vent tube and Interstate MT47 battery?

My battery died in my 2000 9-3 SE yesterday. I called the dealership about a replacement. They use the Interstate MT47 battery as a replacement and they wanted $150 to replace it or $99 just for me to pick it up and install it myself.

I found one at a Firestone for $83. When I went to replace it, I see that the original battery had an overflow vent tube. Well, the Interstate MT47 doesn’t, as far as I can tell.

So, I labeled the hose and tied it off to another hose nearby, just in case I need it in the future.

Am I missing anything?
