Intermittent Tire Vibration (Long)

Hi everyone, I know there have been a bunch of past postings on tire vibrations, but none of them seem to match my scenario. I am hoping someone can shed some light on my situation.
1999 93SE (73K)
Brand new tires last month. I had a lot of vibrations after the new install and could not get back into the shop that did the mount and balance, so I went someplace else. They found NO weights on 1 wheel and 2 of the other 3 were out of balance.
Anyway, I drove home and could immediately notice the difference and was happy. A couple of days later I felt a vibration at about 48MPH, not in the steering wheel so I assumed it was a back tire. Once home I checked all air pressures and everything was good.
I drive to work the next day and eveything seemed good again. It seems like every few days I notice or feel the vibration. Most times in the rear, BUT not everytime, I did feel a slght shake in the steering wheel maybe twice.
Both Outer Tierod ends were replaced last year, I also did an alignment at that time as well.
Thoughts: Bent rim? But why would it go away? Also I asked the Second tire shop to pay attention and look for warped rims durig the balance. They did not report finding any, for whatever that is worth.
NEW Deep tread does pick up more stones, could that screw up the balance?
What else should I look for?
Thanks Jim
