Dash Guages on the blink, literally

It seems my dashboard instrument cluster on my '97 SETC is on its way out. It frequently dies while I am driving, sometimes it comes back, sometimes not. I have been looking on E-bay for a used one with no luck. I also checked goldwing, still no luck. I looked on a site called Tom's used forign parts, or something like that, and they have several instrument clusters for '99 saab 9-3's for $69, which seems reasonable, but I am not sure if it will fit correctly. It looks the same in the picture, but could have totally different connectors or something which I couldnt see from the picture.
Anyone know if they are standard throughout the NG900 and the OG 9-3?Anyone have experience in changing one of these things? Is it a simple DIY, or something a mechanic should do? The guages they had pictures of had a turbo guage, but do not say if the car was a turbo, were the guages standard, or was the turbo guage perminantly disabled for NA cars? As usual, any help, suggestions, or witty comments are welcome.
