Blower Motor Replacement Time? Posted by mikejavo [Email] (#1093) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mikejavo) on Mon, 16 Jul 2007 07:35:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 1995 900S, and replaced the resistor pack for the fan blower about 4 months ago. All was well until the motor started squealing last week. I was about to lube it and grease it, as I read on numerous post here.
This morning, the resistor pack went again, as 1, 2, 3 speeds no longer work. High works fine, with a slight squeal.
Is it worth spending another $50 to get a resistor pack, lube the motor and hope for the best? Or should I just buy a new blower motor, cabin air filter, and resistor and not worry? How much is a good price for a gently used blower motor, or new?
Thank you in advance. If anyone knows a good source for used Saab parts in Toronto or Canada, please let me know.
