He shoulda' quoted you the rear alignment specs, or was he just stating what he could see? Negative camber in the rear is normal, up to around 2-3 degrees, and a little rear toe in is normal too.
And unless it's seriously bent, which is pretty rare, the rear can be shimmed for alignment.
