Oil pump cover part numbers and alignment marks? Help Posted by Gren1saab [Email] (#874) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gren1saab) on Tue, 11 Sep 2007 05:07:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Doing an oil pump and cover on a NG 900 2.0 1997 model year. Has the 9000 style oil pump and cover. Question on part numbers and pump timing marks? When installing pump in front cover do you need to line up the marks? If so with what or just themselves. Second I purchased a set of pump gears and a pump cover. The cover looks a little different and the arrow doesn't line up??? Did they give me the wrong one. I purchased at the dealer and I was unable to provide an engine seriel number. The saabsite lists two different covers. Saab has again changed part numbers so I can't cross the number using the site. The part number they gave me is 55557365 I think I should have a 9138934. Does 9138934 cross to the number I have? Like I said it doesn't look the same it's close but not the same just not sure if it's an updated part or not. Like I said the arrows and alignment pin don't line up they are about an inch off. Appreciate the help thanks.
