The mic was very sensitive even to the car moving. As careful as I could be, I didn't see more than +/- .003" or maybe a total swept area on the dial of .004-.005" with no real pattern. Just touching the rotor caused some movement but after many revolutions, I felt the rotors were OK.
I'm thinking back to wheel bearings and the sledge hammer. The car really does a thump, thump, thump when on the brakes...
Would wheel bearings make the steering wheel wobble?
