I live in brooklyn too and have had the same problem as you. It seems pretty ridiculous that in a city of over 9 million people with many saab's there is only one saab indy (roland). I gave up trying to get him to see my car as he is usually backed up or on vacation so I have been doing all the work myself (Turbo, motor mounts, window rollers, brakes). One option is NJ. There are a couple of good mechanics off of the NJ transit lines so you can use public transportation to get back to BK. I need a new timing chain and have just decided to do a little street side auto shop action complete with boom box and six pack. I would rather pay someone but I can't find anybody I would trust with my saab around here. Let us know if you do find someone. Good luck.
