I sold my beautiful '96 900S 'vert this weekend. It was like parting with a beautiful mercuric girlfriend, when the car was troublefree (which was a good deal of the time) I was in heaven. However, very expensive roof fixes and other electrical foibles (the last being an airbag sensor that would have cost me $970 if I bought from the dealer), I had to sell it. I guess I didn't have the intestinal fortitude for the downs. The car is a mechanical marvel, rock solid but the electronics were always waiting in the background to bite me.
I hope that the person who bought will be able to enjoy it, at least partially on account of the fixes I did.
On the upside, I bought a new mini cooper 'vert with a warranty that provide me with stress free motoring. At some point in time I may come back to Saab, although either for an C900 or a 9-3. In the meantime, I will probably still visit Saabnet but it won't feel the same.
