Just experience the same problem with my '02 9-3SE and resolved it this evening. In my case, the car suddenly stalled and went into limp home mode with no warning (rough idle, etc). Check the following post from Swedecar: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?/bID=234565, and the following picture from Seth Evans: http://sethevans.com/saab/tb4.jpg. These will help you identify whether your throttle is in limp home mode and how to reset it.
I didn't pull the codes on my car, instead I am taking a step-by-step approach. Because I didn't have any rough idling, I was less concern with the MAF. In my case, it could be my car is having a delayed reaction to my setting on my SMBC.
Postings about this problem, if it is throttle body related, suggested cleaning throttle body. This I also did and found my throttle body to be rather dirty. In addition I disconnected the battery to reset the CEL and codes. I also ensured that no vacuum hose was damaged.
Upon restart, the code and CEL were gone, the car start fine and idled normally.
