If your Viggen does not have the ECU firmware load that fixes false alarms about the TB, you need to get updated. If you supplied the model year, I might be able to tell you what you need, but you need to go to the dealer to read whats there or phone to see if they have a record of any updates.
In some cases, new firmware, clear codes and reset the TB solenoid is all that is required. I think that the 1231 code is to be ignored until the 1230 is dealt with.
The ECU will trip the TB solenoid. That will prevent the engine from developing much power.
Before considering TB replacement, you need to check the wiring and connectors near the TB. Open up the connector and look for sings of contamination.
