It is used in some older GM transmission as a shifter shaft seal.

The old traditional auto boxes on rear wheel drive GM cars.
Back in those days, I think it was only two different sizes on the shifter shaft seal that is installed in each side of the transmission.

But I don't know any exact year or model to find it on.

I just use that number at my local tranny re builder place when buying new ones.
