Re: Finding the oil cooler leak. Well I had the heads off, and very easy access to the oil cooler, (its located in between the V of the V6, but you probably already know that), after I got the oil cooler out, I bought a bunch of fittings at home depot (if you want the details of what I bought let me know), and made a fixture to pressure test the oil cooler. I had a valve on it so after I filled it with air (to 60 PSI which by the way is way too much..20 PSI would have done the trick) I submerged it in a bucket of water. I was going to put it in boiling water to simulate the heat of an engine, however bubbles appeard while it was submerged in the cold water, so heat was not neccesary. I may try to repair the unit, by welding the sections closed where leaks came from.
