John i feel your pain, it was a pain in the ars. drive the car on ramps on blocks to give you room. remove bottom shield. take a powerful light and rest it on top of the rad facing downwards. u will see it, but getting to is a pain. use a 13mm socket, long extention, and 1 or 2 swivel joints. it helps to look for a diagram on EEuroparts or something. But i yielded nothing since i had removed the easy hoses that use a screw (not the clamps) and my t-stat. I ended up putting in 6 or more quarts, meaning that about 2 were left in the engine or heater core. Thats acceptable because i thought how hard it would be to change a broken component just to yield a cup more coolant.
Pentosin make a good coolant for the 02 cars if you havent bought any
