You are determined to find that leak, I'll give you that.
you really should consider investing in a set of official shop manuals, check ebay for used or eeuroparts used to have them. Not the aftermarket ones but official saab.
The subframe has to be removed which also involves detaching steering swivel joints. You have to hoist the engine from above so that I guess it doesn't fall on you.
You cannot remove the oil pan without doing so because there is a sump in there that prevents just sliding it off (I assume that's the point you're at - all bolts removed, pan is loose but something's holding it from moving too far).
When I did this, after removing the oil pan bolts, step 2 was call a tow truck and have it towed to the local indie to finish the job (knock on wood, the only time I've had to do this).
