If the chrome finish on the reflector is damaged, then it's probably toast, unless you can find a shop that can re-chrome them for a reasonable price. For better light output, you can get E-code lenses and European market bulbs. Powerbulbs.com has a nice selection and will ship to the US for free. I have the new Philips X-Treme Power bulbs, which are a nice upgrade over regular ones, and the even newer Osram Night Breakers are supposed to be even brighter, while maintaining stock wattages.
