I was left stranded in my NG by a failed DI. Pop the hood and smell around the DI, burnt epoxy smell = bad DI. Fuel pump (listen as previously described) and ignition switch definite possibilities as well. I've had all three in the 216K life of my car. I had weird headlight/dash light issues when I had a bad ignition switch.
