I am currently rebuilding my distributor to fix an oil leak. I am having misfires and the local SAAB dealer insists that it is the distributor oil leak - not a faulty crank position sensor. By the way he is willing to install a new distributor for about $800 Canadian !!
Thanks to a wonderful description by 900SAAB.com, I have located the internal oil seal but the outer O-ring is as hard as Bakelite and shaped like a "D". How do I size this O-ring? The ID of the groove and the width are easy enough but how much should the rubber stick above the groove?
