I just had my fuel pump replaced at 150,000 miles and had my Saab tech pull the pan and I found that my oil pick up tube was clean (yeah synthetic oil). He replaced the seals, replaced the pan, torqued the head and said mine is the cleanest Saab he has seen that is 13 years old.

My question is - how long can I expect the starter, alternator, air compressor, shocks, etc. to last?? Up to now I have replaced the clutch once, the clutch cable a half dozen times, idler pulleys, brakes, rear exhaust, and convertible top motor stabilizer. Other than that this car has continued to go and go and go. I had a friend that has close to 300,000 miles on his 1990 Saab - can I expect the same with mine??
