Driving on icy roads I was hit head-on by a Lincoln Town Car. Thanks to Saab I was able to walk away from the accident, but the car is another story. The damage is not as bad as you might think, it is isolated to the left front corner of the car. But, the car won't start. Engine cranks fine, but no start. When you turn the key on all the lights come on and chimes go off so you think everything is fine, but it won't start. I can't get the hood open, so I can't tinker with it in the tow yard. Any bright ideas? I replaced the CPS a few months ago. My first thought was an inertial switch on the fuel pump, but a web search led me to believe that there was no switch to reset. If I could get the car started it would be driveable. The insurance company wants to total the car, but if I could drive it I would pay the salvage value and keep the car. But I can't justify the cost of towing, etc. So, if I can't drive it, it is going to the insurance company.
