The light you are seeing is CEL, "Check Engine Light". Did you get the codes read? My guess it is a PO455 Large Vacum leak. If so, it could be a loose or bad gas cap all the way to a hose leak. Also a common problem causing this code is sticky EVAP purge valve. When the light comes on, you do not need to head to the dealer to have it read. Autozone does it for free. You really need to find out the code first.
