The problems with dex cool appear to occur on GM products that have different design cooling systems than Saab.
Dex cool came from the factory in my 2001 9-3.
I changed it once at 40,000 miles and now have 115,000 miles.
The color of the coolant in my plastic tank is still the same as new with no signs of cloudiness or other contamination.
I have had no cooling system problems at all.
I'm still on the original water pump and thermostat.
I haven't seen any saab specific cooling system problems mentioned on these forums that are related to Dex cool.
I think the problems Dex cool has caused on the other GM products do not appear to exist on Saabs which have presurized coolant tanks unlike the problem applications which have unpressurized overflow tanks.
Based on my experience, if your Saab came from the factory with Dex cool, I think thier is low risk in continuing to use it.
