I have a '92 C900CVT and a '95 NG900SET (not Convertible though). The C900 rides MUCH softer than the NG. The NG only has 66K on it with all original suspension parts, the C900 has 188K and newish Boge Turbo shocks. Even with the 15" 195/69-15 snow tires (nevermind the 205/50-16 summer tires) the NG is harder riding than the C900. Of course, it handles infinitely better too...
What shocks do you have on your C900. Having driven lots of them over the years, Boges and Konis (adjusted soft) are the softest, KYBs are a LOT stiffer, and Bilsteins will rattle your teeth. Since KYBs are dirt cheap, they tend to find their way onto a lot of cars, and I have found they get stiffer with age until they fail.
