Ok,

Since money is kinda tight, and I've got 2 suspension issues I need to fix here, here's the plan I came up with.

The problems: driver's side spring broke, lost 2/3 of one revolution, so it's sitting a little low. Passenger side cross-threaded a lug on, and then snapped the head off the bolt when trying to rotate winter tires.

That leaves me with a minimum of 2 parts to replace... and one of them is on each side, so I've got to pull both sides of the suspension apart (argh).

I've got a guy parting out a car near me, so I'm going to take both hub/bearing/spring assemblies from him and swap out the entire units to save some time... or so I think that's how it will go.
I figure I will swap both springs so I continue to have a matched set, these are coming off a '94 (mine's a '97), but his only had 65k miles on it where mine is 122k, so I don't think there will be a big difference.

Any tips on swapping these out? Any reason I should NOT use the second hub from the donor car? I believe it will mean less work for me, so it seems like a good plan, but if there's a compelling reason to stick with the one i've got, I'd like to know it.

Also, due to time constraints with 2 kids in diapers, I'm considering hiring the job out to an indy. How hard/time consuming would this be to do it myself? Any special tools I'd need? I've heard about pulling out 1/2 shafts, and having special circular splitters and such, but I don't hope to have to do this often, so if the tools are going to cost me $100, and having someone else do it is $200, I might just have it done...

Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated.
(and I'll probably move up to the Koni's when $ allows based on the recommendations I've heard around here...)
