What's wrong with an old Chevy? My favorite car was a 1978 Chevrolet. I'd still be driving that Vette today if some stupid drunk hadn't crossed a double yellow line, on a blind curve, trying to pass someone.

Sure... I took some quiet perverted pleasure in thinking about the giant hole his head made in his windshield when he hit me head on... and I took even greater pleasure thinking about all the bad things that probably happened to him while he served time in jail... but to tell you the truth, I'd rather have that Vette in my driveway.

You've told us that your car drives poorly... but you didn't tell us what the "Poorly" is. Rough idle? Poor acceleration? Gawdawfull gas mileage? You mentioned replacing the rims, which leads me to think that there is something in the front end that you're not happy with, but without knowing the symptoms, I don't know where to start.

Take your Saab to an alignment shop. Have them put it on the rack, and tell you what it needs. Could be you need an alignment. Could be you've got some badly worn parts. Could be a set of cheap tires that are not compatable with the car. Could be someone smacked the living crap out of it, and something is bent. Could be a plugged catylitic converter, causing too much back pressure.... but I don't know what "Poorly" is
