On T7 cars the oil pressure sensor is behind starter

For the T5 motors droptop was correct about the location of the sensor but for T7 its sort of behind the starter.

I would suggest looking into that as well. I would also drop the oil pan and inspect the bearings for wear. I've been in the same boat as you except mine catastrophically failed while driving and I was out a motor.
