Starter problems and one more item to check

I want to share an interesting discovery I made on my 95 NG900 S. The car was not staring even though the battery and cables checked out. When you attempted to start the car you could here the one click solenoid failure. I started down the path of getting ready to pull the old starter out. What I discovered was the 18 mm upper bolt that secures the starter was loose and had visible gap (e.g. ~1/8 inch). Once I tighten that bolt the car started like it always had. Prior to this with no success, I had tried the old method of hitting the starter solenoid to free it up so the car would start.
Has anyone else found that the upper bolt on the starter can become loose to the point where the car will not start? It has now been 48 hours sense I made this fix and with a daughter learning how to drive a manual the number of starts has been a lot more then normal. Either way I wanted to pass this back to those of you that have had problems with starters. For the weekend auto mechanic the started in a Saab is not easily accessed on the 900 S. I had found a great screen shot of a diagram posted by crawdad on Sat, 3 May 2008 21:56:16 that clarified all of the connections and mounting of the starter.
