Check engine light came on and car died very early this past Saturday morning. Wouldnt start. 20 min later it did start with the check engine light on but running ok. I aborted my trip and headed home. Just made it to a relatives house as it crapped out again. Refused to start and I was a very expensive tow away from anywhere worthwhile. Thanks to this site and all the posts I have read in the past from the good folks on it, all symptoms pointed to the DIC. I was also able to determine it was the original from December of '98. 9852 right? Got a ride to the nearest dealer and overpaid for the DIC I've been meaning to buy for months and keep in the trunk. Ya know, just in case... Car started right up. Check engine light still on but ran fine all the way home. On Monday my indy said any codes pertained to the DIC failure and I was good to go. Thanks again all. Could have been an expensive nightmare. Pete
