My problem was the same, since the car's idle would stick to where the last rpm was unless I sharply revved it high, which it therefore reset. The problem showed up when I had just cleaned my AIC and throttle body, and so naturally I thought it was in need of some lube (the parts cleaner probably removed any lubrication), but it didn't seem to help that much. I had an idea this morning, however, that worked.
With the car off, I unplugged the AIC. When I started the car, it would idle at about 1100 RPM. After a minute or so, I plugged my AIC back in with it still running and it dropped to where it was originally, and after I took it for a test drive, there was no more "sticky idle". Not exactly sure why, but I think the computer just needed a refresher course.
