Don't worry, it is very easy. Basically all you have to do is reach the bolt that holds the gearchange rod inside the engine compartment. Just look behind the engine (under the intake) while someone is moving the shifter from one gear to another and you will see it. You need to lock the shifter in third (I think) gear before you disconnect the rod to keep proper alignment. This is the important part. Let me know if you need more clarification.
