Cleaning MAF sensor with Isopropyl Alcohol

Hi All,
Want to do a bit of preventive maintenance to improve my fuel consumption due to the price of fuel. I intend this weekend to replace the Oxygen sensor as the car has done 142,000Kms . I also want to clean the MAF sensor. I want to use isopropyl alcohol with a small pencil brush to clean the sensor and gently blow with a very low pressure air duster. Here is my question. Does anyone know of any reason why I should not use isopropyl alcohol? Thanks in advanced.
Cheers Martin Barnes
