MIL CODE P1105 (and 1134) again :( 2000 9-3 Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Sat, 19 Jul 2008 14:28:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well it seems like any repair a simple hose replace didn't really work for my check engine light. OK, here is the deal so far. Got the CEL with P1105. Based on some advice here, I checked and ultimately replaced the small vacuum hose "charge air hose"? At any rate, the CEL would stay off for about 1/2 of driving then go back on again like clockwork. At one point it was throwing 1134 error code as well.
Couple things I noticed. There is some sort of T this charge air hose goes into which feeds to more of those narrow vacuum hoses. Again, I can't seem to see any holes in those hoses but they are old. I'm just not sure if that would make any difference.
Bigger thing is that the car *seems* to have "lost" it's turbo. My wife drives the car and unfortunately isn't as aware of this stuff as I am. When I took it out for testing after clearing the code I noticed the car has almost no kick like it used to. Also, I can't seem to get the turbo guage to move up past the first bar even when I put the pedal to the floor. It just sorta picks up like I'm starting off in some high gear.
Well, Really not sure where to turn from here. Thanks much in advance for any ideas! You guys have sure been helpful so far and it is much appreciated.
