After trying so much it is probably the shift fork inside transmission that is bad.
The reverse shift forks were weak to begin with from factory and it didn't make it any better with the many clutch problems that this first model were experiencing.
When the clutch cable started to go bad, many forced the reverse bending the fork slightly so even after new clutch and everything, it would still have a problem getting in to reverse.
