I have the problem as described by SaabkidinTN, on a 99 9-3 base... and I resolve it when it happens by pulling the fuse. I have pulled the head unit and SID and found no loose connections. When it is cold out, it happens a lot, until the cabin has been warm for a while. Rarely happens during the summer.
I am guessing it is an intermitent short someplace, like cracked solder that opens up in the cold, and closes up when warm. I haven't looked hard at the SID, but when I have some time, I will, especially as I need to resolder the flex interconnect to get my pixels back.
