I just spent $500 doing front suspension work. My strut mounts and struts were failing at 90k miles. They were not all the way there yet. But the mounts were shot. As for the shimmy, they all seem to get it after a while. I feel the same about the NG900 as well having had one. I just replaced my left ball joint and both sway bar links. Shimmy is still there but steering is much tighter. Honestly, when it comes to shimmies here is what I have learned. I have a few sets of rims so I would say more often then not its a bent wheel. Slightest bend will cause that bs shimmy. I have the 02 rims on now and when I switch to my vikings (all were straightened) it goes away. Saab wheels are highly susceptible to bending (especially on New England roads).
