I'll have to look at my Viggen when I go home tonight, but my 9000 and C900 got water in the trunk when the rectangular plug connecting the wiring harness through the roof to the hatchback broke, or the wiring loom cover became cracked or compromised. Water would run off the roof at speed, over the edge at the top of the hatch and into the broken plug on the rear edge of the roof or into the wiring harness. From there it would run through the interior of the hatch sheetmetal and drip out a screw hole in the plastic trim and into the trunk.
I figured it out when, after a long highway trip in the rain, only one of my hiking boots in the trunk was filled up with water that dripped off the interior of the hatch, and the other was bone dry. Right above the boot was a screw holding the trim on and that's where the water exited.
Check the wiring and silicone any gaps to stop the flow of water.
