Actually, I removed the sensor from the engine and cleaned all of the sediment build up from the sensor. On the 2.3L engine the sensor is located beneath the fuel rail making it very difficult to get probes on it to measure resistance. I did disconnect the sensor and attach the wires to a spare sensor that I had from a 9000. It made no difference.
