Just tell Crutchfield that you have VW and you'll get the right harness. I think I put in that I had a 2000 Jetta or something. The harness was a good quality one, no worse than others I've bought on eBay or the Metra harnesses I've seen at local stores. The one Crutchfield sent me didn't have the wire loop from the antenna pin to one of the SID bus pins, which was nice. An eBay harness had that and I needed to cut it.

For the DIN plug, you'll have to make up an adapter, but it's fairly simple. Richard Bevan's Saab Audio Guide has the DIN's pin-out, and using that, solder RCA plugs to the front left, front right, and audio ground pins, and a piece of wire to the turn-on signal pin.
