I just started my car, simply to move it around from one part of the driveway to the other. When I did, I heard a very high-pitched whizzing sound (unlike that you would typically hear when usually starting your car) and the engine didn't turn over and start (which of course usually has a much lower-pitched, almost muffled "growl" kind of sound). I turned the key back and went to start it again, with the SAME result. Finally, on the third try, the engine kicked in and the car finally started as it should.

I've never had this happen before, and now I'm concerned. It sounded like some kind of gear just didn't "catch" on the starter motor and just kept spinning wildly, creating that "whizzing" sound. Could this be evidence that my starter motor is going bad? Or could it just be an isolated freak incident?
