In realistic terms you could be looking at at bent tie rod (about $60), or a bent control arm (about $100). There's a chance something else is bent, or simply out of alignment, but unless she hit the thing at >20mph its not likely she did much damage to the steering/suspension. If I were driving the car, I'd simply take it to an alignment shop, and let them know why you're there; if there's something that needs to be replaced any competent alignment technician, and most incompetent techs will find it before they're able to do the alignment.
On a side note, I got hit (parking lot accident) in my girlfriend's Dodge Caravan, directly on the front corner, at about 10mph back in September. The impact was minor, but hit the van in just the right spot, at just the right angle, to break the transmission away from one of it's mounts resulting in a total loss on her van. My point is, even though it doesn't seem likely, excessive damage can occur in low speed impacts.
