I recently ordered the Manual Boost controller from Smart Performance products. Its a simple regulator valve type controller that installs in the BPC line. Took me literally 10 minutes tops and oh wow... What a huge difference!

Even set at a very low setting (I haven't hit the safe mode cutout) the car is SO much more responsive in the usually doggy low gears from a stop, and acceleration on the freeway is much much quicker.

Basically, like all MBC's, you get quicker spool up of the turbo, reducing much of the noticeable lag. This lag was horrible in my previous 900se, and not so bad in this car, an 02 93 se HOT, but it was always the most dissapointing thing about the cars. This makes a huge difference for very little expense and effort.

I'd certainly recommend this upgrade to anyone. I'll be eager to see how it affects the MPG. Most likely the temptation to have fun will be the main drain on that.
