I own a my2000 9-3 3 door turbo, standard transmission. I recently bought a Haynes Workshop Manual. I have been roaming through it teaching myself about my car (after nine years of ownership). I was looking at the Cruise Control system. Both the Owners Manual and the Haynes Manual say that the Electronic Control Module is located just behind the right hand front suspension turret. Both manuals show clear pictures of it. However it is not there. At that location there are a few wires running mysteriously into the space behind the glove compartment. How can this be? Did the factory make some changes without telling anyone? Did some mechanic play a trick on me over the years? The Cruise Control system is working fine, but I would like to know where the ECM is if I ever need to find it. Where is it hiding?
