I lived in Florida for 6 years and always used mobil 1 15w-50 (1999 9-3). I would have preferred to use Amsoil 20w-50 but I didn't want to go through the bother of getting it online (lazy I know).

I recently moved to Maryland and used Mobil 1 Truck/Diesel 5w-40 this winter but next winter I kind of want to stick with the 15w-50... does it really make that much of a difference in the cold weather?

I just had the major service done at Viking Saab in Gaithersburg & they used BG 0w-30 - he didn't have Mobil 1 but said the BG oil was rated higher... now I'm wondering if I should switch it out for the upcoming summer.
