Why not first verify that the compressor is actually shutting down when the A/C blows warm. If you take a piece of light-duty stranded speaker wire, you could pull the A/C compressor relay and wrap the stripped end of the wire around terminal #87 of the relay. (located in the underhood electrical center) That should be the lead that supplies +12V to the compressor clutch. Run the wire into the passenger compartment thru the door seal, being careful not to pinch the wire and cause a short to ground. Hook the wire to one side of a 12V test light and hook the other lead on the test light to a ground. Take her for a ride a see what happens.
