If possible. Apparently, some of these cars have issues with leaks that aren't easy to resolve. Mine ('01) leaks at the front latches and the side rails after it has been sitting in the rain all night (unless parked on an incline). It then soaks me the next morning when I start driving. My indy is stumped, but I haven't taken it to my dealer yet. This doesn't seem to be that common, but there are a few posters here with the same issue. Also, see if the storage bag in the trunk fills with water, as mine does. Not a huge issue as long as it drains properly.
Other than that, the other posters seem to have covered it all. If it has manual climate control, make sure the knobs operate smoothly or you'll be repairing the heater box soon (PITA).
I am loving every minute of driving this car, except after a hard rain!
