That's a good point about the fuel pressure surge during the loss of intake manifold vacuum. I just performed the first start of the day (problem start) with the FPR vacuum hose disconnected and did not notice a surge in rail pressure during the stalling period.
I guess I was more concerned with air leaking into the feed line overnight and the stalling being due to reduced fuel delivery during the purging of this air.
