These things are a waste of money. They might allow you a little more power, but they do so by pirating the signal from one of the engine management sensors to fool the ECU into reading a false measurement. Also, they use the famous "up to X horsepower gains," which is a giant red flag saying we don't know what the hell we're doing, but you're free to give us your money in hopes of achieving that elusive X.
If you want to buy a performance upgrade, do it right get a staged tune ECU, at least they tell you exactly how much horsepower you will achieve. I bought mine for $175 from epartsland (you can find them by searching "saab trionic" on a famous auction website), and I am very happy with it. Of course, there are site sponsors that offer better tunes with the only downfall being they are slightly more difficult to budget, but worth the extra expense because of the extensive knowledge and testing behind them.
