I had a quick lube place put an extra 3/4 quart in a truck I had about ten years ago. When I took it back to them, they put a shop vac on the oil filler neck, pulled the drain plug, drained exactly the right amount, put the shop vac back on the filler neck, and reinstalled the drain plug. I watched them do this with a feeling of half amazement and half "I guess that makes a lot of sense."
