Saturday went along well with repairs for my long sleeping 96 SET [3 years off the road]. We replaced the Power Steering Pump that had leaked. Unfortunately, or possible fortunately, the package from eEuro got there too late for work that day and I am left the replacement of the Serpentine belt to this coming weekend. I have read a slew of posts and articles on the short belt replacement. The thing that has me wondering is that the guy from eEuro and my buddy, a long time Saab Parts man were not familiar with the "Short Belt Replacement." I ordered a regular serpentine belt from eEuro, as he did not have any answers for the short belt. I also got a short belt from Autozone. I have both and will bring one back or sell it to my buddy who has the same car. Anyway, I have a couple days and am trying to do the right thing here. I have seen some negative comments on the short belt. I am thinking about the new belt [regular or short] and new aluminum pulley from "Wazoo". The responses on this issue have me bouncing back and forth like a ping pong ball. Thanks, Bill
