Does anybody know if the 3.2L v-6 Opel engine that came in the 03-04 Cadillac CTS's will replace the 2.5L v-6 in my 1994 900SE? It is still the 54 degree v-6, but from what I have found it is the redesigned LA3 engine as opposed to the L81 design that it replaced. The L81 design was used for the 2.5L, a 2.6L in some Opels, and the 3L.
I have been told that the 3.2L Opel engine that AAA Foreign Auto Parts in California sells will perfectly replace the 2.5L. I assume that 3.2L is the LA3 design. I have found some low milage 03-04 CTS's with the 3.2 and would like to replace my engine with one of those, but I need to know if it will bolt right up. I can't seem to find anybody that knows for certain. All information that I have found points towards the engine bolting right up but I am not sure. I will need to have the engine shipped to me and I don't want to find out that I can't use the engine once I get it.
If anybody can shed some light on this, it would be GREATLY appreciated!
My Saab needs new life and needs to get back on the road. Thanks.
